An Anonymous Maidservant

A group of domestic servants came together in a valiant attempt to form a trade union and press for better working conditions. Our heroine was anonymous because if her employer had found her out, she would have been sacked. We mark her struggle in Union Street at the site of the former Thistle Hall, where they met.
